French Bulldog FAQs – Frequently Asked Questions

We have compiled a list of some of the most frequently asked questions. We hope we are able to answer your French Bulldog questions here. We will update this list as needed. If we are not able to answer your question here, please feel free to call, text, or email us with your inquiries. We will try our best to answer your questions, including specific questions about a breeding, transport, or more specific questions regarding any of our dogs or the French Bulldog breed in general.

HOW OFTEN DOES COYOTE FRENCHIES HAVE FRENCH BULLDOG PUPPIES FOR SALE?
We are hobby breeders, so we only have available puppies once or twice a year. All puppies are sold with a contract (including when applicable, a contract to spay or neuter).

HOW MUCH DOES A FRENCH BULLDOG PUPPY COST FROM COYOTE FRENCHIES?
Our puppies range from $2,500 to $4,000 depending on their DNA, gender, and whether they will have full breeding and show rights, or a contract to spay/neuter (limited rights). Occasionally, some puppies may be in a lower price range for special circumstances.

WHY ARE FRENCH BULLDOGS EXPENSIVE?
While we like to keep our prices reasonable so that all families can enjoy the company of a French Bulldog, there are a few things that factor into the price tags of this breed. Frenchies have narrow hips, which commonly does not allow for natural breeding, i.e., a natural tie. This means a stud must be “collected” by a vet and the female must be artificially inseminated by the vet, either manually or surgically (preferred). A female that has been bred would also need very frequent prenatal vet visits. Almost ALL (over 80%) of French Bulldog breedings result in a delivery by cesarean section (aka C-section). This is due to the large head of this breed – the unborn puppies are notorious for getting their very large heads lodged/stuck in the birth canal and no pups can be born (this is extremely painful and stressful to the mother, and it is an emergency). Many owners go ahead and schedule the surgery just to be safe.

WHAT FORMS OF PAYMENT ARE ACCEPTED?
We accept deposits and payments via PayPal, Cash (local), Western Union or Money Gram, or good old fashion direct deposit with our bank. We also offer financing (see below).

DO YOU HAVE FINANCING OR OFFER PAYMENT PLANS?
Yes, we do!
PayPal Credit (3rd party): Our invoicing will allow you to pay/apply for PayPal Credit where you have 6 months to make payments.
Community Finance (3rd party): Financing up to $3,000. Requirements are 1 year of employment history, a fair credit score, a bank account, and at least $1,500 a month in verifiable income for approval.
Financing with us!: We offer payment plans up to 11 weeks of age on our puppies. (If arranged, we can allow longer for a small fee as we will have to continue with shots and vet visits, and also recertify your pup with the vet when it is time to leave.)
Layaway with us!: We can take payments on any planned/future breeding. Once you have a credit with us in the $2,000 to $3,500 range, we apply that amount towards an available puppy of your choice, or an available pick spot on a breeding.
NOTE: We add a 3% fee to Layaway and payment plans with us.

HOW LONG DOES A WELL BRED FRENCH BULLDOG LIVE?
Your beautiful French Bulldog will be a part of your family for 10-12 years. Some have been seen to live even longer.

I LIVE OUTSIDE OF FLORIDA, HOW DO I GET MY FRENCH BULLDOG PUPPY?
We are able to transport your puppy to you, if needed, for a fee. Or you are welcomed to drive or fly down to pick up your fur baby.

HOW ARE PUPPIES TRANSPORTED?
We either hand-deliver them ourselves, or we use a USDA licensed pet transporter (ground), a pet nanny (air), or United Airlines Pet Safe (air).

HOW MUCH DOES IT COST TO HAVE MY PUPPY TRANSPORTED TO ME?
Depending on the delivery method, transport is $250-450 extra for the domestic USA. For international transport, fees differ. Please contact us for an estimate.
NOTE: If desired, transport can be included in all financing and/or payment plans.

WHAT DOES COYOTE FRENCHIES FEED THEIR ADULT FRENCHIES AND FRENCH BULLDOG PUPPIES?
Our puppies are on Holistic Select Small Breed Puppy. Our adults are on a raw diet.

HOW OLD DOES MY PUPPY HAVE TO BE BEFORE IT CAN LEAVE?
All puppies must be certified by our vet before we can legally sell them. Vets certify puppies between 8-9 weeks of age. They can leave once they have reached 8 weeks and have had their certification.

WHAT SHOTS WILL MY FRENCH BULLDOG PUPPY HAVE?
Your puppy will have the beginning shots of its puppy series. Depending on your vet, you will need to get 1 or 2 more boosters after it is home with you. Vaccines are age appropriate and in intervals, which mean some vaccines (just a couple) will have to be continued after your puppy is home with you. Rabies cannot be administered by a vet until 12-16 weeks of age (depending on your vet’s policy). PLEASE keep your heath certificate in a safe place. This also has a record of all shots administered. You would need to bring this in so your vet knows what shots your puppy has had, and what is still needed. Without it, they will start your puppy’s vaccines over. Over vaccination is not good for the puppy.
